Lawn Sodding in North TX
As your house gets older so do the trees in the yard. They grow taller and bigger, therefore throwing too much shade on your Bermuda grass, which leads to shading out.
If you let it go too long then you could lose dirt when it rains as there is nothing to hold the dirt in place. We have installed many yards, most clients go back in with either St. Augustine or Zoysia grass.
Should you have a yard with FULL SUN and would like to change to a different type of grass, we can help, give us a call.
Zoysia
is more of a drought tolerant grass, there is different types of zoysia from el toro, palisades and emerald.
El toro and palisades is a broader leaf type of zoysia, not as wide as a St. Augustine blade but close to it.
Emerald is a finer blade type of zoysia, more closer to a Bermuda grass blade. This type is a very thick grass (not in blade thickness) but plush. Zoysia we will still recommend 3-4 hours of good scattered light to survive.
